Collection and Evaluation of Field Case Histories

Field studies of documented case histories will guide our selection of problem parameters and will be the ultimate yardstick to judge the adequacy of the developed methods. Already published case histories from past earthquakes will be (re)analysed, while new expeditions to areas of significant future earthquake events will provide the fresh observational material. Additional evaluation studies will provide the “ultimate” demonstration of the capabilities of the developed methods and/or will highlight their limitations.
